Prices Of Tomatoes, Garri, Rice Remain High In Bayelsa State

The prices of tomatoes, rice and garrison which went up at the turn of the season is yet to come down in most markets in yenegoa.

According to some market sellers in Swali market, a basket of tomatoes which was sold for N26,000 was sold for N28,000 upwards depending on the size.

A bag of rice cost N13,000 and N15,000 depending on the brand while a paint plastic is sold for N1,100. A paint rubber of garri has increased from N300 to N600.

The off season was only worsen by the lingering fuel scarcity to transport the goods.
