A French Olympics athlete struggled through an extremely sticky situation after he suffered the unfortunate humiliation of pooing himself 15km into the men’s Olympic 50km walking race.
Yohann Diniz’s dilemma was caught on camera with brown stains running down the back of his legs after soiling his pants midway through the contest.
Diniz was the favourite to clinch gold in Rio and is the world record holder. But once illness kicked in he struggled to rule the pack.
World champion Matej Toth of Slovakia, eventually won the race ahead of London 2012 gold medallist Jared Tallent of Australia in second and Japan’s Hirooki Arai bronze.
Diniz, who finally finished in a creditable 11th place, seeing his Olympic dreams end in such humiliating fashion.
