Police Recovers Body Of Boy Burnt To Death In Lagos

The Lagos State Police Command says it has found the charred remains of a Robbery suspect who was burnt alive by a mob in the original area of the state.

The state commissioner of Police,  Fatai Owoseni said the suspect was believed to be between the age of 20 and 25 years old and not a seven year old boy lynched over Garri,  which went viral on the social media.

Owoseni who noted that the lynching was carried out around 4am penultimate Saturday,  said the police had contacted an emergency agency of the state government to remove the corpse.

According to Punch Metro,  a mob at the bus stop caught the suspect after he had allegedly stole a wallet,  got a Tyre and set him Ablaze.

The CP said it was wrong to always blame the police, some members of the gang had been previously arrested,  arraigned in court but released on bail.
